What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new ,Europe-wide law that replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK. It is part of the wider package of reform to the data protection landscape that includes the Data Protection Bill.The GDPR sets out requirements for how organisations will need to handle personal data from 25th May 2018.

Who we are

We are a service helping people manage and overcome anxiety and depression by providing high quality psychological therapies. On our team we have the following types of therapists:

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) who are skilled at helping people find practical ways to manage their difficulties. Methods used include guided self-help, stress management skills, computerised cognitive behavioural therapy and psycho-education groups

CBT therapists who are trained to deliver individual and group cognitive behavioural therapy

Counsellors who are trained to provide an opportunity to talk about day to day difficulties as well as difficulties from the past.

What we offer

We offer high quality psychological therapies for people with mild problems of depression anxiety or chronic stress, to help them manage and overcome these problems in the local community.

Who is the service for

People aged 16 years or more who are experiencing common mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and stress living in Barnet.  We also treat the following anxiety disorders:

They do offer longer term counselling for young people up to the age of 25. They offer some charitable funding, and can subsidise the counselling they, but they do ask for a contribution from the client for the sessions.

There are other local organisations that offer up to 2 years of counselling which you may wish to contact directly if you feel they would be of help to you.  Clients are expected to self-refer and to make an affordable contribution to the cost of their counselling. (No one is turned away on financial grounds.)
