What happens when I am referred by my GP?

What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new ,Europe-wide law that replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK. It is part of the wider package of reform to the data protection landscape that includes the Data Protection Bill.The GDPR sets out requirements for how organisations will need to handle personal data from 25th May 2018.

Training Practice

The practice has been ACCREDITED as a training practice since August 2019 and will be under the supervision of Dr Faraz Hussain our GP trainer. The students will receive personalised tuition from Dr Hussain who has had further training as an educationalist, as well as other members of the practice.

GUIDELINES FOR PATIENTS FOLLOWING REFERRAL


 


If you have been referred by your doctor for a specialised opinion the referral will be processed by our secretarial team and sent to the appropriate department.


 


You should then receive communication direct from the hospital or clinic


 


If you have not received either an appointment or an information letter within 8 weeks of your referral date, please ring the Referral Management Service (RMS) on 020 8865 2040. They will be able to tell you where and to which service your referral was directed. RMS will be able to give you the number for the hospital or clinics in order for you to contact them direct to chase your appointment.


 


For Physiotherapy/Musculoskeletal (MSK) referrals, please call 020 8349 7509 (If referral is to ICMSK, please contact RMS).


 


For Podiatry/Chiropody referrals, please call 020 8349 7363


 


For ICS (Intermediate Care Services)/Rapid Response referrals, please call 0845 389 0940


 


For Falls Clinic referrals, please call 020 8349 7528
