Advice for travellers from China

Travellers from Wuhan and Hubei Province

If you have travelled from Wuhan or Hubei Province to the UK in the last 14 days you should immediately:

  • stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu

  • call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the area

Please follow this advice even if you do not have symptoms of the virus.

Travellers from elsewhere in China

If you have travelled from elsewhere in China (but not Macao or Hong Kong) to the UK in the last 14 days and develop symptoms of cough, fever or shortness of breath, you should immediately:

  • stay indoors and avoid contact with other people as you would with the flu

  • call NHS 111 to inform them of your recent travel to the country

Please follow this advice even if your symptoms are minor.

What is GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new ,Europe-wide law that replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 in the UK. It is part of the wider package of reform to the data protection landscape that includes the Data Protection Bill.The GDPR sets out requirements for how organisations will need to handle personal data from 25th May 2018.

Training Practice

The practice has been ACCREDITED as a training practice since August 2019 and will be under the supervision of Dr Faraz Hussain our GP trainer. The students will receive personalised tuition from Dr Hussain who has had further training as an educationalist, as well as other members of the practice.

When We Are Closed

Between 18:30 - 08:00 Monday-Friday, all day Saturday/Sunday/Bank holidays please call NHS111 for out-of-hours assistance

On Thursdays from 13:00 - 18:30 the Reception will be open but for cases of medical emergencies please call Barndoc on 0208 865 0350.

Walk-In Centres

NHS Walk in Centres are located at:

  • Edgware Community Hospital, Burnt Oak, Broadway, Edgware HAX OAD (24hr)
  • Finchley Memorial Hospital, Granville Road, Finchley N12 (09:00 – 19:00).

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
